Colossal Sports Management are delighted to announce the addition of Arsenal and England International Ainsley Maitland-Niles
to our roster of elite talent.
Maitland-Niles is a product of Arsenal’s academy having joined the club at the age of 6. He then went on to sign his first professional contract with Arsenal on October 24th 2014 when he was 17.
Maitland-Niles became the second youngest player to have represented Arsenal in the Champions League, after he made his professional debut at the age of 17 years and 102 days in a match against Galatasaray, on December 9th 2014.
Four days later, he made his Premier League debut, replacing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in added time in a 4–1 win against Newcastle United.
On July 2nd 2015, Maitland-Niles signed for Ipswich Town on a season-long loan for the 15/16 season. Since his debut he immediately made an impact and was praised by manager Mick McCarthy, who described him as “outstanding”. He was named as the club’s player of the month for September.
Maitland-Niles established himself as a regular first team player in Arsène Wenger’s final season as Arsenal’s manager, making 28 total appearances in all competitions. On June 12th 2018, he signed a long-term contract at Arsenal.
Maitland-Niles was apart of the England U-20 squad that beat Venezuela in South Korea in 2017to lift the winners’ trophy. The victory was the first time that England had won the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
During the 19/20 season Maitland-Niles has kept his place as Arsenal’s starting right-back for the opening games of the season. He scored his first EFL cup goal against Liverpool in a 5–5 draw (Liverpool won on penalties) at Anfield. So far the 22-year-old has made 24 appearances for the Gunners this season.
