Alex and Raheem have been selected for England’s upcoming 2020 European Championship qualifiers against Montenegro at home and Kosovo away on the 14th and 17th of November.
Both of our stars have been part of England’s senior squad plans since 2012, with Alex and Raheem earning 33 and 55 international caps respectively.
Having scored four goals in his last four appearances for Liverpool, Alex has deservedly regained his place in Gareth Southgate’s side after missing out in the Three Lions squad for the October ties against the Czech Republic and Bulgaria.
The 26-year-old has played a vital role for the Reds, starting in both fixtures against Genk in the Champions League and the fourth-round Carabao Cup clash against his former club Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Raheem has maintained his regular spot for the World Cup semi-finalists, after netting eight goals in as many games for his country as well as scoring 14 times in all competitions for Manchester City this season.
England are top of Group A and a win against Montenegro at Wembley next Thursday will all but confirm their berth in next summer’s tournament with a 18+ goal difference over second-place Czech Republic.
