Colossal Sports Management is delighted to announce our latest client signing in Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons.
Rolando Aarons joined Newcastle United in 2012 and signed a professional contract on April 1st 2014. Aarons was born in Jamaica but has represented England at under-20 international level.
Aarons’ presence became visible in pre-season prior to the 2014/15 season. He scored one goal and had one assist in the 2014 Schalke 04 Cup against Bundesliga side Schalke. Following on from this, Newcastle allocated him the number 16 shirt.
On August 17th 2014, Aarons made his Premier League debut in Newcastle’s first game of the season; He then went on to score his first senior goal on August 30th in a 3-3 draw against Crystal Palace.
Aarons returned to United October 29th after he substained a hamstring injury while on international duty with England under-20 but you couldn’t tell as he got straight back to business, scoring his second goal for the club in the fourth round of the League Cup. The fixture ended with an away victory for Newcastle as they beat Manchester City 2-0.
In the 2018/19 season, Aarons went out on loan to Serie A team Hellas Verona. He then joined Sheffield Wednesday on January 31st 2019 on deadline day during the winter transfer window, for the remainder of the season.
Continuing with his loan spells, on September 2nd 2019 Aarons signed for Wycombe Wanderers, with the loan coming to an end on January 12th 2020. His most recent loan prior to returning to Newcastle was with Scottish Premiership club Motherwell. He joined Motherwell January 31st 2020, with the loan coming to an end on May 31st.
Aarons is a winger, usually playing on the left. He has a powerful left foot, incredible pace and technical ability. Some have compared his playing style to fellow colossal player Raheem Sterling.
