Despite the Premier League on its winter break, the season continues for Colossal’s talents with plenty of match action to bring over the next few days.

In the Championship, Marvin’s Middlesbrough travel to south-west London, taking on an inform Brentford side in a Saturday 3pm clash.

Meanwhile across Germany, Reece will be hoping to boost Augsburg’s hopes of European football next season for the visit to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Friday night.

Game of the Week: Marvin Johnson

Opposition: Brentford (A)

Victory away to Brentford on Saturday afternoon could be a season-defining clash for Marvin and his Middlesbrough side who are sandwiched in the middle of a congested Championship table.

Marvin’s robustness as a left-wing-back will be pivotal to helping Boro earn a result against a free-flowing Brentford side with the second-most goals in the league.

Three points at Griffin Park would not only mean more breathing space between Boro and the relegation zone, it would also surge a potential charge to the play-offs with Marvin’s team 14 points behind the post-season places with 16 games remaining.

Opposition: Salford City (A)

Time: Saturday, 3pm

Venue: Moor Lane

David’s 25th appearance of the season summarised the right-back’s importance to Crawley Town with a 3-1 win over Scunthorpe, helping the Red Devils over the line in his side’s last encounter.

Being brought on in the second-half, David, who is known for his raw pace going forward, frustrated Scunthorpe on the defensive end at the People’s Pension Stadium.

With the chance to go ahead of Saturday’s opponents Salford City, David will be eager to play another integral role to securing victory for Crawley in the top-half of the League Two table.

Kasey Palmer

Opposition: Birmingham City (H)

Time: Friday, 7:45pm

Venue: Ashton Gate

TV: Sky Sports Football

Friday night action returns for Kasey and his Bristol City side looking to boost their promotion hopes to the Premier League with a win over Birmingham City.

The 23-year-old will by vying for more match action in the Championship having made 19 league appearances so far this season.

In the reverse fixture at St Andrew’s, Kasey completed the full 90 minutes whilst making a crucial assist to help Bristol City to a 1-1 draw in the second game of the season.

Martell Taylor-Crossdale

Opposition: Watford (A)

Time: Friday, 7pm

Venue: St Albans City Stadium

With Cody completing the full 90 minutes in Fulham U18s slender 1-0 loss away to Manchester City in the FA Youth Cup on Thursday, Martell will look to be the main man in helping the U23s to victory at Watford.

Martell has led the line for the Development Squad this season since his move to the Cottagers this season, recently showing his creative abilities as part of a two upfront partnership.

With just three points between all teams in Group B of the Premier League Cup, two-time Youth Cup winner Martell won’t be short of motivation for Friday night’s game.

Reece Oxford

Opposition: Eintracht Frankfurt (A)

Time: Friday, 7:30pm

Venue: Commerzbank-Arena

With the second half of the German football season well underway, Reece will be hoping to make a vital impact for Augsburg in the club’s push further up the Bundesliga table.

The 21-year-old has made eight league appearances for Augsburg since his permanent move to the Fuggerstädter in the summer, this included a second-half appearance in the home fixture against Frankfurt in the 2-1 win back in September.

With a Europa League possible for both sides, Reece will be desperate to be involved in this tense encounter. A win over Frankfurt would see Augsburg have a four-point gap deficit ahead of Friday night’s opponents, eight behind sixth-placed Schalke.
