Sheffield United U18s 1-2 Fulham U18s
(Brunt 83’ – Tiehi 22’, Drameh 70’)
Cody netted his first goal since scoring in a Premier League 2 victory over Norwich back in October 2018 as the right-back’s winner saw Fulham’s U18s advance to the next round of the historic FA Youth Cup.
The 18-year-old, who has emerged as one of the Cottagers’ rising stars, made the difference once again for Fulham, not only on the scoresheet, but containing the home side at their first-team home of Bramall Lane on Wednesday night.
Cody’s strike rounded off a devastating counter attack from the visitors as the Englishman sprinted down the wing before coolly lifting the ball over goalkeeper Sam Kelly.
What Does This Mean?
Cody and his teammates await their fifth-round opponents as their journey in the prestigious youth-level competition continues.
Whilst showing his maturity for the U18s, Cody’s regular status for the club’s U23s side could mean a place in line-up alongside fellow Colossal talent Martell Taylor-Crossdale for the away fixture against Everton on Friday night with kick-off at 7pm.
