Crawley Town 1-2 Fleetwood Town
(Palmer 44’ – Morris 41, Madden 66’)
David started his fifth successive match for Crawley Town as his side were knocked out of the FA Cup in the second round in a 2-1 home defeat to Fleetwood Town.
David once again featured at left-back for his club, having also played in his more natural right-back spot through a season spanning 22 appearances for the 21-year-old.
Despite the end to his team’s FA Cup campaign, David has already enjoyed deep cup runs in his first full season of professional football, having reached the fourth-round of the Carabao Cup, which included wins over Premier League side Norwich and Championship outfit Stoke City.
What Does This Mean?
An early exit out of the FA Cup at the hands of League One Fleetwood Town will at least mean renewed focus for Crawley in their League Two aspirations, with the Red Devils currently 17th in the fourth-tier.
Next up for David is a return to League Two football for the visit to Stevenage on Saturday – kicking off at 3pm.
