Crewe Alexandra 2-1 Crawley Town
(Porter 72’ (p), 90’ – Ferguson 84’ (p) )
David made his 50th senior career appearance for Crawley Town as his team suffered a 2-1 away defeat at the hands of Crewe Alexandra at Gretsy Road.
The 21-year-old, who made back-to-back starts in also completing the full 90 minutes in the goalless draw at Salford City, was utilised again as a left-back in Tuesday night’s loss.
David went close to scoring a long-range belter from outside the box only to be denied by a fantastic save from William Jääskeläinen in the fourth minute. This stop proved to be the difference maker later on in the match as Crewe would go on to edge the encounter.
What Does This Mean?
David’s side are now 14th in the League Two table, with an 18-point cushion between themselves and the relegation zone.
Up next for David is the visit of Carlisle United on Saturday, with kick-off at the People’s Pension Stadium at the traditional time of 3pm.
