Kasey returned to Bristol City action on Saturday afternoon, completing the full 90 minutes in a 1-1 home draw with Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup.
The former Chelsea youngster had a positive influence in the third-round tie, playing in his preferred position as a number 10, Kasey went closest with a well-saved effort against the League One outfit from inside the box.
The 23-year-old’s power and presence was much-needed for the Robins, as Shrewsbury’s equaliser gave the underdogs belief as the match went on, thankfully there was no cup upset at least for now.
What Does This Mean?
A replay between the two sides will take place at Shrewsbury’s Montgomery Waters Meadow stadium with the date and kick-off time to be announced shortly.
City’s trip to Wigan Athletic could bring up a 50th senior career start for Kasey next Saturday in the Championship at the DW Stadium.
