Raheem has been ranked as the 12th best footballer on the planet in the prestigious 2019 France Football Ballon d’Or awards.
The news comes after another brilliant year for Raheem, which included becoming the Football Writers’ Player of the Year and the PFA’s Young Player of the Year.
After being recognised as one of the standout performers for 2019 by coaches, players and respected journalists, Raheem has certainly established himself as a prominent global star in football altogether.
In the last 12 months, the 24-year-old has lifted the Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup titles with Manchester City as well as helping England reach the UEFA Nations League semi-finals.
Raheem has continued to make his presence known on the pitch, with 53 goal contributions (including assists) for the calendar year, having already netted 15 times so far in the current campaign.
Having featured in his country’s qualification to next year’s UEFA European Championships as well as a knockout stage place in the UEFA Champions League, the prospect of Raheem adding further success to an already illustrious career for next year is exciting to say the least.
